What you’re supposed to do
- Look hard at the form.
- Look really hard.
- Got it? Bravo! Enter the email address registered with the Bar Association, and the password supplied to you.
But I never got a password!
Don’t fret. Whatever you do, don’t whine. Just send a request for access.
We’ll get back to you.
Like in a month.
Or maybe even two.
Patience is its own reward.
But I forgot my password!
Tsk, tsk. How very remiss of you. Surely it’s the same password you use all over the place? No? Then you’ve been admirably — if somewhat needlessly — cautious (read ‘inefficient’). Same answer as above. Send a request.
I’ve forgotten my email!
That’s bad. That’s very bad.
You must atone for this egregious lapse by performing suitable penance. We suggest you check back after working out at least ten pro bono briefs or legal aid matters. That should cure your desire for directory access once and for all. If it doesn’t, write an essay in no less than 1000 words explaining how you came to forget an email id. Re-read, revise, edit and finalize your essay. Then throw it away. No one wants to read it.
Alternatively, just make a request, giving your name, and be done with it.
You see, we’re a forgiving lot out here at the Bombay Bar Association.
